Zoe Wood has worked as an editor, photographer, writer, and general office slave. She served as a consulting editor on a project for Beijing’s Foreign Language Press, and spent two years as an assistant editor for the literary publication The GW Review. In her last job in DC, she learned to hate the phrase ‘talking points.’ She has written several articles for The GW Hatchet, The Danbury News Times, et al. Zoe has taught English as a foreign language for several years, in both the United States and China. She is proficient in both French and Chinese, and has studied Japanese, Thai, and Taiwanese.

Currently she resides in Honolulu, Hawai`i, where she has just finished the University of Hawai`i’s graduate program in linguistics. She is working part-time as a researcher and also participating in a language documentation project where she helps record Tibetan and Qinghai Mandarin for future study and analyzation. Her favorite food: pizza. Her favorite color: blue. Her pet peeve: that there is no gender-neutral, third-person singular pronoun. Her favorite video game: Civ III. Her favorite movie: Ping Pong.
