Greg May was the head technical writer for the Des Moines Register at age 16. Since then, he has written as a critic and commentator for a number of national and international publications, including City Weekend Magazine, Red Egg Magazine, the Newton Daily News, Capital Change Magazine, and an arm of China Daily, Beijing Weekend. In addition, he has served as a consulting editor for the Foreign Language Press of Beijing, China, as well as a writer and editor for the George Washington University Hatchet , the school newspaper of his alma mater. He has been an attendee of numerous professional conferences and conventions, from FOSE, E3, and Comdex to the Presenting Data/Information Symposium and the Democracy and Journalism Conference.

Originally from Iowa, Greg is currently living in Honolulu, Hawaii where he works as a journalist, photographer, and teacher. He is available for a wide variety of freelance assignments- including design consulting, photography, and writing. He can be reached at greg at trulyobscure dot com.
