Tea's the Season

The holidays are coming up soon, and nothing says “cold and flu season” like several dozen cups of tea. There is more to tea though than simple green or oolong- the most flexible of beverages gets a seasonal update by Celestial Seasonings.

Their flavors, like Gingerbread Spice, Sugar Plum Spice, and Candy Cane Lane offer a nice alternative to the plain old cup, and many are available in decaf as well. Our favorites were Santa’s Candy Apple and Nutcracker Sweet, the later a nutty vanilla black tea with a hint of cinnamon.

Of course, not everyone’s cup of tea is Christmas-oriented. Celestial Seasonings offers several new varieties of certified organic tea, from the herbal tea Sweet Clementine Chamomile to the Vanilla Apple White. They also offer the best bagged chai we have tried so far, their Sweet Coconut Thai. 40 bags (in two boxes) will set you back around $6.

For those of you who like a different sort of caffeinated liquid, we’ll be reviewing the Krups K-Cup single-cup coffee (and tea) maker soon!
