This device claims to clean skin and reduce those monster-sized pores into something tamable, all while minimizing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It aims to be essentially all of your beauty products in one simple tool a simple tool for your entire body. Use it to cleanse your face, elbows, arms, neck, even your feet if you dare.
It comes with 3 different brush heads; normal, delicate, and sensitive, and a spot therapy brush to use for the extremely difficult areas. The spot therapy brush is the main difference between this and past Clarisonic versions like the CLASSIC or MIA models.
We were positively glowing (inside and out) that this sonic skincare system has lived up to and exceeded expectations. We started out by wetting our skin and the brush head with water. We applied the included cleanser and using small circular motions with little pressure, we cleansed our skin. The automatic timer gave us a minute to start with but after a few days, I opted for a couple minutes.
Skincare can be a tough mountain to hurdle as everyone has different skin, whether it be oily, dry or some combination. Many people suffer from rosacea, eczema, acne, and other minor skin conditions. After only three days, my skin became noticeably softer. Initially our concern was slight redness and a few small breakouts, but after some frustration (and extreme patience on our part) we noticed visibly clearer skin and our dry patches had evened out. One suggestion would be to stick to your own cleanser, especially if you have sensitive skin. If you switch to a different cleanser, you run the risk of more outbreaks due to skin sensitivity.
We found the body brush to be the most valuable part of the new and improved skincare system. Although we love to have glowing sun-kissed skin year round, UV rays wreck havoc on our skin and body. Personally, I find spray tans tend to do the trick, though the downside is noticeably darker patches on parts of the body where skin is drier. We put this tool to the test to see if it made an improvement on my overall skin tone, and alas, it helped to buff out the darker patches. It also made my moisturizer absorb into the skin easier and those rough patches, well, they smoothed themselves out (if only they worked on love lives).
Features on this device include simple control buttons, a customizable T-Timer, and a charge indicator so if the battery goes low, you can recharge it before having to go without. And in the case of the Clarisonic PLUS skincare system, we opt to go with. This was well worth the $200 price on Amazon after all the years of slaving away with skincare lines and throwing money at every beauty bargain in sight.
