Finish Your Winter With Some Bubbly
Ah, the French. While the Americans may occasionally sport beer goggles, the French can now sport champagne goggles, once again beating us in sophistication.
Based in Reims, France, Veuve Clicquot is a maker some excellent champagne, best known for their Brut Yellow Label. In honor of their ‘Clicquot in the Snow’ event, Smith Optics created the special Limited Edition Veuve Clicquot Ski Goggles. We’ll be looking at another piece of Smith Optics gear shortly, as they make a variety of interesting sports equipment as well.

These unisex goggles the goggles include cylindrical, carbonic-X lens, an airflow lens ventilation system and single layer face foam. True to their theme, the lens color is champagne, and aside from the logos on the side being a bit overwhelming, these are an attractive and durable pair for just about anyone who is hitting the slopes. They are easily adjustable, and the color serves to help block glare.
These babies should be available soon at www.eclicquot.com as well as the Viceroy Snowmass store for a retail price of about $105. You can also enter to win a pair here! Sadly, we missed the party in Aspen- but over this weekend, Veuve Clicuot offered a wide set of events like aprés ski parties and champagne tastings, all to benefit Challenge Aspen.
