Don't Take It Out on the Peanut Butter

“Peanut butter.” Is that word safe to say again? Well, in the wake of multiple salmonella scares involving peanuts, I hope you haven’t abandoned the institution entirely. The peanut epidemic was limited to mostly peanut butter mixed into products as opposed to the stand-alone product itself, but certainly the word was tainted and apparently now even pistachios are being eyed warily.

What a sad plight for the newly-released Peanut Butter with Chocolate-Chip Cookie Dough peanut butter. We reviewed P.B. Loco’s peanut butter products only five months ago, and now they’ve come out with perhaps our favorite flavor of them all.

The chocolate chip cookie dough craze was something we never quite understood. It just tasted like a doughy chocolate chip ice cream, which never tickled our fancy. But throwing peanut butter into the mix… now that made it interesting. The peanut butter includes small chocolate chip pieces and a wonderful sort of brown sugar taste. If you’re a major fan of chocolate chip cookie dough, you may not find it authentic, but you’ll probably find it yummy anyhow.

This flavor comes in a typical 16 oz. container and costs around $6.95. For the most part, P.B.Loco products are only available online, at PBLoco.com. They deliver all over, and quickly to boot. Let’s hope they keep coming up with new and interesting flavors!
