CaseLogic E-Sling: Perfect for Netbooks
Larger laptops = larger bags = more weight and more strain. That’s a big part of the reason why TrulyObscure supports netbooks of all kinds (and we’re moving ourselves to the cloud too, as soon as we can get our fix of fancy foods there). CaseLogic is doing their part to support the burgeoning netbook market at well, with the large version of the E-Sling.

Sure, it’s only available in black, but the red lining on the flap is a nice touch. And the E-Sling can hold most any netbooks, and even some smaller laptops (their website has a nice, if incomplete, list of computers that will fit). There’s room for all of the extra cables and accessories as well, and pockets for your phone or iPod, GPS or digicam. The shoulder strap is easily adjustable, and the flap is held shut by a clever hidden pair of magnets. It isn’t waterproof, but as the bag is made from polyester, it protects fairly well from random raindrops or puddles.
The bag also has a 25 year warranty, and feels sturdy enough to warrant it. We would’ve liked slightly more padding on the bottom, and maybe a small handle on the top of the bag, but both would have added weight to a nice and light package. Available online and in stores, normally around $55 but available through their site on sale for $44. A good buy for netbook users, and perfectly suited to many other tree-based types of books.
