MacAlly's Nano Cases: Easy to Like
MacAlly’s IceSuit is one of the better series of iPod cases around (and there are quite a few). They just released their Nano version, with the same black or white color choice, each with an orange accent.
We were lucky enough to snag one, and gave it a run for it’s money- testing the non-slip silicon rubber that most all cases are made from, and seeing whether it’s unique feature (the area on the back for headphones to wrap around) was worth the extra width.
Verdict? Well, if you’re using those snazzy lanyard headphones, this case probably isn’t for you. But if you plan on using any standard earbud set, then the built-in storage wrap is a decent feature. A fairly standard price ($20), and a nicely raised ridge around the screen prevents it from getting easily scratched while lying facedown. Access to controls and ports was there, and though the iPod was a little difficult to get into the sleeve at first, it definitely wasn’t sliding out on accident.
Some textured grips would have been nice, as with our previously reviewed Nano case. But the MacAlly IceSuitn looks nicer and feels a little better, and is available online or in stores.
